Wirral pensioner cleared of a string of sexual offences and assaults against two children.

Anne Dickinson was accused of 22 offences including indecent assault, sexual assault and assault causing actual bodily harm.

The 72-year-old denied the charges – which included four counts of indecent assault on a teenage girl – and said she was “gobsmacked” by the allegations.

A jury took just two hours and 23 minutes of deliberations to find her not guilty on all counts after a five-day trial at Liverpool Crown Court.
