Jonathan Duffy, of 7 Harrington Street Chambers, appeared for the defence in the case of R v DB at the Crown Court.
The defendant, a serving police officer, was charged with rape, following allegations that he had spiked the complainant’s drink and engaged in sexual activity while she was unconscious.
The case was acquitted by the jury after 7 day trial.
