7 Harrington St Chambers: Response to Coronavirus (Covid-19)

7 Harrington St Chambers is being guided by the UK Government’s advice on the ever evolving Coronavirus outbreak. We are continuing to monitor the situation daily and this page will be updated regularly.

Our primary aim is mitigate the risk to our members, staff, solicitors and clients. We have therefore taken the decision that from today we will temporarily close chambers as this is in the best interests of our colleagues and clients.

All our staff including our telephonists, clerks and admin staff are now set up to work remotely from home with the full functionality as if they were in chambers. Please continue to use their contact details and emails in the usual way. A copy of this information will be placed on our Contact Us page.

We would like to reassure all of our solicitors and lay clients that we have continuity plans in place that will enable us to continue to work throughout the current situation and provide solicitors with the advice and assistance that they and their clients require.

Following the Government advice to stay indoors many firms are now also working remotely:-

  • We have telephone facilities in place to enable barristers to undertake court hearing remotely.
  • We can link our solicitors, the courts and prisons via video conferencing software.
  • Telecons can easily be arranged for members attending from home and can include multi party conferences.

Please contact our clerks who are keeping up to date with all government advice and following the working directives issued from Northern Circuit, Bar Council and HMCTS.

7 Harrington St Chambers will continue to review the situation and will regularly update this page with any developments. We are confident in our ability to respond quickly to any changes and remain effectively operational as a business, whatever the circumstances.

Please do not hesitate to contact our Practice Director John Kilgallon on 0151 242 0700 or john@7hs.co.uk for any further information or advice in relation to 7 Harrington St Chambers functionality.
