Miss Targett – Parker trained as a certified accountant with Lloyds of London going on to be the Financial Director of a property company and then running her own corporate entertainment company specialising in yachting events.
Miss Targett- Parker was a local councillor in Lambeth from 2010 – 2014, where she was the Chair of Licensing for the full term as well as co-chairing a working group to draft Lambeth’s Licensing Policy. She chaired the first Early Morning Restriction Order (EMRO) hearing in the UK.

Miss Targett-Parker is a pupil supervisor. She is an advocacy trainer for Lincoln’s Inn where she teaches on courses for both pupils and new practitioners as well as being a mentor for Lincoln’s Inn for members trying to secure pupillage.
Miss Targett-Parker has been a Bar Council Representative since 2016, is a member of the General Management Council for the Bar and chairs the Bar Council’s Pro Bono & Social Responsibility Committee.
Miss Targett- Parker is the treasurer for the Human Rights Lawyers’ Association.
Miss Targett-Parker is the treasurer and founding member of Women in Family Law.
Miss Targett- Parker sits on the National Committee for the FLBA.
