Practice Overview

Miss Cox joined chambers in 2023 after successfully completing a common law pupillage under the supervision of Mr Nick Cockrell.

Since joining chambers, Miss Cox has developed a busy and diverse Crown Court practice and is instructed by both the Prosecution and Defence in equal measure. She is a Level 3 CPS advocate and acts in a wide range of matters including cases involving drugs, firearms, serious violence and sexual offences.

Miss Cox has also developed a diverse family practice. She represents parents, children and Local Authorities in public and private law proceedings. She has experience of cases involving physical abuse, sexual abuse, domestic violence and neglect. Miss Cox has experience in deprivation of liberty applications under the Court’s inherent jurisdiction.

Crime

Serious Violence

  • R v JB, CB & MS (2024): Led Junior for the prosecution, prosecuting three defendants alleged to have attempted to murder a member of a rival Organised Crime Group using a firearm.
  • R v JG & KG (20250: Led Junior for the prosecution in a case involving the attempted murder of male following the discharge of a firearm in Liverpool. Both Defendants were convicted after trial.

 

Drugs and Weapons Offences

  • Whisperously (2024): instructed to represent a defendant part of an enterprise to import 314kg of Class A drugs into the UK.
  • Devour: Led Junior in a 25-handed conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
  • Rhino (2025): Junior Alone representing the Prosecution in a 5-handed conspiracy to produce and supply 70kg of Class B drugs.
  • Havoc (2025): Led Junior in a conspiracy to supply Class A and B drugs and for possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
  • Tumbler: currently Led Junior in a 26-handed conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
