Nicola was called to the Bar by the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn in 1995. She completed her pupillage in London before spending 10 years working as a solicitor solely in the field of family law. She returned to the Bar in 2007 when she joined 7 Harrington Street. She is experienced and practices in all areas of family law and has appeared in family proceedings court, county and High Court.
She has extensive experience of children cases including public and private law and also injunctions.
In public law, she regularly appears for the Local Authority but also appears for parents, Guardian’s and the Official Solicitor. In private law, she has been involved in many contested disputes between parents about contact and residence, often involving serious allegations of abuse. She also has dealt with cases about schooling and internal/ external relocation cases.
She has many years experience in financial cases as a solicitor and a barrister. This can range from advising at the outset in the hope matters can be resolved without the need of attending court or representing clients at contested final hearings.
Nicola prides herself on providing down to earth, pragmatic advice and hopes to achieve the best outcome for the client in a cost effective way.
Nicola is a member of the Northern Circuit.
