Mr Khawam joined chambers after being called to the Bar in 2024.
Mr Khawam was an experienced solicitor, practising in criminal law, undertaking all areas of work within that field, notably advocacy and preparation in the Crown Court, Magistrates Court advocacy, as well as police station attendances. He has worked in Criminal Law since September 1988, initially as an outdoor clerk, qualifying as a solicitor in May 2005, gaining my Higher Rights (Criminal) in 2010.
Mr Khawam was a director with K&H Law Ltd., formerly MPG Solicitors Ltd., a two partner/director practice, having control over case preparation, advocacy, and litigation, requiring constant decision-making and the use of initiative, as well as dealing with the rigidity of compliance involved in running a private practice.
Mr Khawam has prepared and advocated in a variety of different types of cases predominantly in Criminal Law having appeared in the Court of Appeal successfully appealing sentence.
